Welcome to the Surrey Christmas Bureau

The Surrey Christmas Bureau is committed to making the holiday season unforgettable for low-income families in Surrey. We understand the importance of creating cherished memories during this time of year, especially for families facing financial challenges. Our mission is simple yet impactful: to provide essential holiday assistance that includes toys and gifts for children and grocery cards so families are able to enjoy those memory making holiday meals together. Through these initiatives, we aim to ensure that every child in Surrey can experience the magic of Christmas, regardless of their circumstances.

Stocking Stuffer Collection: Make Christmas Special

Help us fill stockings with small toys and other stocking stuffer items such as mittens, socks and personal care products. Your contribution ensures that every child experiences the magic of Christmas morning.

Grocery Card Initiative: Ensure Festive Meals

Support our initiative to provide grocery store gift cards, helping families in need to purchase ingredients for a festive holiday meal. Your donation helps thousands of Surrey families celebrate the holiday season with joy and dignity.

Urgent call for financial donations!

Our hamper program which provides families with much needed grocery vouchers for those memory making Christmas meals needs your help! In 2023, we provided over $260,000 in vouchers to families, far surpassing our previous record of $195,000. If you are able to help, please donate HERE and receive an immediate tax receipt. 2024 Toy Depot

 Donation Information:

Toy donations to our Toy Depot are closed for the season and will resume once we have opened the Toy Depot in October. In the meantime, if you are an earlybird shopper, feel free to check out our  Blog with details and links to all the latest must have toys! Check out our Blog here!
Financial donations are needed year round to support our Hamper program. Please consider supporing this essential program with a one time gift or make a monthly donation via the Donate Now link at the bottom of the page. Thank you so much!

Registration:

Online registration for clients is now closed.  Registration for Christmas 2024 will begin in October. 

2024 Adopt a Family Program:

Adopt a Family sponsorship applications will open in September, 2024.  
You can still virtually sponsor a family by sponsoring a family’s Hamper which supplies those all important, special holiday meals! Rates are as follows:
Family of Two: $140
Family of Three: $160
Family of Four: $180
Family of Five: $200
Family of Six: $220
Family of Seven and above: $240

Our Team

Our team at Surrey Christmas Bureau is a dedicated group of individuals passionate about making a difference in the lives of low-income families during the holiday season. With a shared commitment to spreading joy and providing essential assistance, we work tirelessly to ensure that every child has the opportunity to experience the magic of Christmas.

Lisa Werring (Executive Director)

Lisa has been serving as the SCB Executive Director since August 2017, bringing over 30 years of non profit experience, largely in the field of meeting the the needs of vulnerable children. As a long time Surrey resident, Lisa is delighted to be able to bring her skills to work in her community.

Angela Neufeld (Toy Depot Manager )

Angela has been with the Christmas Bureau for many years, her dedication to the organization is amazing! Her cheerful nature and can do attitude is an inspiration and a gift to everyone!

Community Engagement Co-ordinator

The Community Engagement Coordinator oversees our Adopt a Family program, managing recruitment, training volunteers, and coordinating with local businesses and organizations. Responsibilities include outreach, support for families and volunteers, record-keeping, and ensuring program compliance.
